Ramon Navarro Johnson is a poet, songwriter, actor, and community activist who currently resides in San Jose, Ca. where he was a longtime radio personality and founded San Jose Blues Week, a celebration of live music. Ramon is infected with the obsession to explore the state of humanity; Who we are, why we do, and how we be, and believes we should all strive to be Soldiers for Positive Social Change. Ramon is currently working on two book projects, the first a collection of essays exploring his bizarre life entitled One Black Bean In A Sea Of White Rice and the second a selection of poems and songs entitled Further: A Collection of Pems, Songs, and Beyond. Ramon graduated Magna cum Laude from De Anza College and San Jose State University.
Maurine Killough is a poet, singer, frolicker of life and professional hypnotherapist/coach in San Mateo. As true with many writers, her poetry is a catharsis for healing, fueled by some of the hardest of life encounters, loss of a home from the 2017 fires and the subsequent sudden death of her beloved husband.
